13 Reasons Naruto Rocks

Thirteen Reasons Naruto Rocks

1.  It is just plain cooler than Battlestar Galactia.  Hands down!  :P

2. Not only can you find the most awesome icons, but they also fill you with the intense joy of inside jokes shared by hardcore geeks the world over!

3. Icon 3 says it all. Kakashi sensei, just awesome!

4. Alix, chocolate, and Naruto. nuff said.

5. Where else will you find an icon that summarizes life so perfectly than this one:

When your problems are real, come speak to me.
6. Stated perfectly by the divine Ms Alix A:
Alix says:
The supporting cast is actually supporting...the main character (all though super awesome and sometimes referred to as having a "jesus punch") is not all powerful and needs the others...which is a cool theme, that you only succeed with help.

7. (I may just let Alix finish this list) :P

Alix says:
More...let's see...the girls (ok so you've only seen the first half of the series, so this might not hold true...because you haven't seen kick-ass Sakura) but the girls in the series actual HOLD THEIR OWN. They are strong and although they still sometimes have annoying personalities, at least they aren't cowering behind the males.
8. Masashi Kishimoto won the Quill Award for Best Graphic Novel for Vol 7 of the magna. It was the first time a magna won the award. We need say no more. Yet we will!
9. It does lead into the amazing plot and character development (when following real plot that is) and on that point Alix says:
Ok....people can change...evil doesn't mean evil...sometimes someone you think is evil isn't at all...many characters fall into a weird grey area...or they go from good to bad, or bad to good, but the important thing is that you understand the motivations behind their decisions. There still are GOOD and BAD guys, but most aren't painted as clear cut.

And number 10 continues with Alix and our theme of character development:
Alix says:
On that topic...the most important character in the series, arguably, isn't the main character...but rather the main character's rival (you know who I'm talking about, but you don't want to ruin it for everyone)...in order to understand what I'm pretty sure it the over arching theme, you have to understand his motivations and decision making...and you have to understand the relationship between him and Naruto.

Alix says:
Umm...did you cover the awesome cute guys?

11. The Awesome Cute Guys!!! (Why do they not exist in real life???) sigh.

12. It is a story about ninjas. NINJAS!!

13. Alix says:
The fact that I am in love with 3 different characters is a sign the series is pretty good...three awesome characters, two of which have complex pasts that make them even more intriguing in true anime fashion.

And there we go people! Do you really need any more reasons??? :P

Comment #2 is actually about the previous entry, which I’m not replying to as part of my intensifying boycott of blogs that do pay-per-post (this is the last such blogsite with which our people maintain loose diplomatic relations).

Uhm, I forget the comment I was going to make.

    Oh, right!

Forget loans, forget suffering, go with PIRACY!!

Silly, you forgot the answer to the world’s [financial] problems. Up the Jolly Roger!
