Blog For Choice

Slightly late. I am in Rome. And as I am traveling and I am at a hostel and there is a line up waiting for me and also this computer, this will be short. And maybe not nearly as coherent as I had planned it. But I promised, and I believe in it, and short though this post may be, I believe in the absolute importance of a womens right to choose.
And I am a firm supporter of the terms pro choice and anti choice. I do not use the term pro life. The opposite of pro life would imply pro death. I AM NOT PRO DEATH. I hope that every woman has access to birth control. I wait for the day when we are all educated, male and female, on how to use birth control, on how to respect women when they say no, and for the day when men also can have birth control options that are not strictly condoms.
I am pro choice because it is a womens body. And society, not women, have controlled womens body for too long. How we dress, how we look, society imposes the meaning for us (do not believe so, why is a woman a slut based on her make up and clothing choice alone). Because I do not want anyone else meddling with my health and my body. It is my body, my choice. And when you take my choice away you back me into a dangerous corner where my only option may be to harm myself. I dont want any more women dying on tables trying to have illegal abortions.
For all these and more, which I will elaborate later when someone is not yelling at me to get off the computer.
