As insurance is a big discussion in the apartment at the moment (trying to get one that qualifies me for a work permit as that is often the biggest factor in having your work permit rejected, and the one I have now expires soon), I found out that Germans have insurance for EVERYTHING. Ok so it makes sense to have insurance for travel, and health, and even term life insurance, which freaks me out but fine. But my partner freaked when he found out I dont have insurance to cover everything else. For instance if I break someone’s glasses by accident. Huh? But now I am on his policy, so if you have me over its safe to let me drink and allow me to smash up your stuff. Im covered.
