I Have Been Looking For This

Posted by on January 13, 2008

In a flash of Sherrie style brilliance I lost my glasses in the ocean on my second day of vacation in the Dominican Republic. I fell over a slimy seaweed infested rock, smashed the case they were in (why I just was not content with my sunglasses I dont know, but I just HAD to have my regular ones as well as I walked along) and I never noticed they fell out on the walk back, never to be seen again. My next move of brilliance was to only have brought one pair, thinking that the little voice telling me to bring my spare was getting a little too bossy and should be taught a lesson. GROWL.

Anyway long story short, I now no longer have an emergency pair, AND I dont like the frames. But when I went to look at getting a new pair, the only frames I liked were 150 Euro, which I could deal with. After all they go on your face, its like your best outfit, hair and shoes all together all the time. BUT when I found out that it was going to be another 300 Euro on top of that for the lenses I stalked out.

My friend told me about ordering frames online to cut down the price, and that is what I am now looking into. Great Discovery: www.ZenniOptical.com, low prices because there is no rent to pay for a downtown location, there are no middlemen and so they come direct to the customer. It has to be better than almost 500 Euro.
